Short answer as of mid September 2026: no new patch. v1.0.3 on 12 August is still the current build, and the only official news since is the Global Popularity Poll.
As of mid September 2026, v1.0.3 released on 12 August 2026 is still the current Palworld build. No patch has shipped since. The only official announcement in the meantime is the Palworld Global Popularity Poll 2026, which opened on 1 September and notes the 1.0 roster now exceeds 280 Pals.
That is worth stating plainly because the question gets asked constantly and the honest answer is a short one. If you are wondering whether you missed a balance change, you have not.
What v1.0.3 actually did
- Moved some Jetragon-related technology unlocks from level 79 down to level 70, and reduced the material cost of the Pal Gear used to ride Jetragon.
- Changed the technology unlock level of the Aquatic Construction Kit, bringing it much earlier.
- Fixed the Sunreach main mission soft lock caused by clearing the barrier too early.
- Fixed accidental Fast Travel during Tower Boss fights on dedicated servers, which made Hard Mode attempts trustworthy again.
- Adjusted reward behaviour around stat fruits, which reshaped how players farm the vendor counters.

A quiet patch window is the best time to do the slow, permanent work. Nothing on this list is at risk of being nerfed out from under you, because all of it is account-side or Pal-side progress rather than an exploit.
- Collect the three eight-pin effigy types: Yakumo for passive rolls, Relaxaurus for experience, Lunaris for sphere homing.
- Finish two or three Pals completely across all six upgrade layers rather than starting ten.
- Secure a Hexolite Quartz supply, either by lap or by building the Hexolite Quartz Mine at level 62.
- Bank Ancient Civilization Cores toward a Homing Module. Five cores is the gate and they only drop from bosses.
- Run bounty laps. Bounty Proof at 15 per implant is the cheapest upgrade currency in the game.
