Palworld Merchants: Every Shop, Currency, and Stock Count

Quick answer

Ten merchant types appear in live shop data: four fixed Gold Coin shops (Village, Desert, Volcano, Dungeon), three special currency vendors (Arena, Medal, Bounty), and three roaming traders (Traveling Caravan, Wandering Merchant, Vagrant Trader).

There are ten merchant types in Palworld's live shop data. Four take Gold at fixed locations, three take special currencies, and three roam. Here is the whole roster with stock counts.

Palworld has ten merchant types in live shop data. Four are fixed Gold Coin shops: Village Merchant with 39 items, Desert Merchant with 42, Volcano Merchant with 42, and Dungeon Merchant with 33. Three take special currencies: Arena Vendor with 53 items for Battle Tickets, Medal Vendor with 37 items for Medals, and Bounty Vendor with 18 items for Bounty Proof. Three roam: Traveling Caravan with 109 items, Wandering Merchant with 32, and Vagrant Trader with 8.

That is the full roster in one paragraph. The rest of this page is the prices that actually change decisions, because the interesting question is never how many items a shop has but which counter is cheapest for the thing you want.

The special currency counters

  • Bounty Vendor, Bounty Proof, 18 items: implants at 15, Kinship Peach at 15, Life or Power or Stout Fruit at 25, Ripe Starfruit at 50, Pal Reverser at 7.
  • Arena Vendor, Battle Ticket, 53 items: element skill fruits at 30 to 45, implants at 50, stat fruits at 100, Pal Reverser at 35, late schematics up to 1300.
  • Medal Vendor, Medals, 37 items: work suitability handbooks at 300, elixirs at 200, Life and Power Fruit at 200, Lily's Spear schematics at 600 and 840.
  • The same item often appears on two counters at very different prices. Stat fruits are 25 Bounty Proof or 100 Battle Tickets, which is not a close call.

The fixed Gold shops

  • Village Merchant, 39 items: early staples, arrows, bait, medical supplies, farm produce, organs, and hat schematics.
  • Desert Merchant, 42 items: Ice Organ, Cold Resistant Pelt Armor, Musket, and Ground and Grass skill fruits.
  • Volcano Merchant, 42 items: Flame Organ, Heat Resistant Pelt Armor, Fire Arrow, and Fire and Water skill fruits.
  • Dungeon Merchant, 33 items: ammo, recovery meds, meats, organs, and Aquatic Pal Fluids at 300 Gold Coin.

The roamers

  • Traveling Caravan, 109 items: the largest Gold catalog in the game, covering ammo, materials, and food.
  • Wandering Merchant, 32 items: fluids, organs, medicines, and bait.
  • Vagrant Trader, 8 items: Wood, Ore, spheres, and Bread. Small but occasionally exactly what you need.
  • Roamers move, so they are opportunistic rather than plannable. Buy the bulk material you are short of when you see one.

Search any material and read its Sold by section for merchant, price, and currency.

How to actually use this

  • Decide the item first, then check which counter carries it cheapest. The price gaps between currencies are large.
  • Bounty Proof is the best value currency in the game per unit of effort if you already run bounty targets.
  • Medals are the only route to work suitability handbooks, so spend them there rather than on duplicated fruit lines.
  • None of these counters run out permanently. They are grind-gated, so the real cost is time per token.

Common questions

Short answers for searches that should land here, with links to the item, map pin, or related guide when you need more detail.

How many merchants are there in Palworld?
Ten merchant types appear in live shop data: four fixed Gold Coin shops (Village, Desert, Volcano, Dungeon), three special currency vendors (Arena, Medal, Bounty), and three roaming traders (Traveling Caravan, Wandering Merchant, Vagrant Trader). Merchant locations
Which Palworld merchant sells stat fruits cheapest?
The Bounty Vendor at 25 Bounty Proof per Life, Power, or Stout Fruit. The Arena Vendor sells the same three for 100 Battle Tickets and the Medal Vendor sells Life and Power Fruit for 200 Medals, so bounty tokens are clearly the best value. Stat fruits guide
Where do you buy work suitability handbooks in Palworld?
The Medal Vendor, at 300 Medals each. Handbooks permanently expand which work tasks a Pal can take, and no other counter stocks them, so Medals are best spent here. Work handbooks guide
Which Palworld merchant has the most items?
The Traveling Caravan, with 109 items and the largest Gold Coin catalog in the game. The Arena Vendor is next at 53 items, though it trades in Battle Tickets rather than Gold. Items catalog
