Palworld Best Early Handiwork: Capture Zoe and Condense Humans to Level 7

Handiwork is the bottleneck of every early base. Every bench, every repair, every crafting queue runs through it, and the natural Handiwork Pals available in the first twenty levels are mediocre. The workaround is that humans can be captured and condensed exactly like Pals, and Zoe is the human you can get earliest.

Why humans break early Handiwork

The condenser gives a work suitability boost per star, and it walks from a Pal's highest suitability downward. Most Pals have four or five suitabilities, so those stars get spread thin. Humans have almost nothing except Handiwork, which means every single condenser star stacks onto the one job you care about.

• Stars one, two, and three each add plus one to a suitability, working from highest to lowest.
• When a Pal runs out of suitabilities to spread across, the stars keep stacking on the top one.
• Star four adds plus one to every suitability the Pal has.
• A human with only Handiwork therefore receives all four increases on Handiwork.

That is the whole trick. A fully condensed human lands around Handiwork level 7, which is a tier of worker most players do not see until they are deep into the sixties.

When Zoe becomes catchable

Zoe becomes available after the first tower battle at the Rayne Syndicate, which most players clear around level 10 to 15. After that story beat, she can be found at the Desolate Church. Confirm the timing on your own save, since story flags differ if you have skipped ahead or joined a co-op world mid-run.

Capturing her cleanly

• Bring spheres one tier above what the level suggests. A failed throw on a named human is a long walk back.
• Wear her down rather than bursting her. Capture rate scales with remaining health, and overkilling a human is very easy at this level.
• Status effects raise capture probability, so a single application before the throw is worth more than another twenty damage.
• Do not bring your whole combat party. Pals will happily finish the job you were trying not to finish.

The human condensing loop

Condensing to four stars takes 48 same-species copies in 1.0, spread as 4, then 8, then 12, then 24 across the four ranks. For humans, that means 48 captured humans, and the good news is that low-level enemy camps produce them endlessly.

• Find a low-level enemy camp near your base. Camp humans respawn, which makes them a renewable resource.
• Bring cheap spheres. You are not trying to catch anything good, you are farming condenser fuel.
• Non-lethal capture is the whole game here. Learn to soften rather than kill, or you will burn hours.
• Bank the humans in your Palbox and feed the condenser in rank order rather than dumping everything at once.
• 48 total is the target for four stars. You can stop at three stars if you just want a strong worker fast.

Keeping Zoe on Handiwork

A level 7 Handiwork worker is wasted the moment she wanders off to water a berry plot. The base will happily reassign her, because the default work priority order does not know she is special.

• Lock her to Handiwork from the Monitoring Stand. This is the single most important step after condensing.
• Keep the bench she works cleared of competing jobs, so she is not choosing between two queues.
• Give her a bed and food within reach. A high suitability worker with low sanity still works slowly.
• Do not put her on a base that also needs her for Transport. Her whole value is that she does one job extremely well.

Is she better than a real Handiwork Pal?

Early, comfortably yes, because nothing you can catch in the first twenty levels competes with a condensed human. Late, the natural high-suitability Handiwork specialists catch up and pass her once you can also condense them. Treat Zoe as the bridge that carries your crafting base from level 15 to the fifties.
