Palworld Monitoring Stand: How to Use It (Lab, Transport, Locks)

The Monitoring Stand is how you force jobs the default priority list will never finish: Lab research, dedicated haulers, and per-Pal work locks.

Unlock the Monitoring Stand early (Technology level 7). High Quality Monitoring Stand is level 28. Ancient Monitoring Stand is level 71. Use them to assign or forbid work types per Pal instead of hoping the default priority chart cooperates.

Monitoring Stand

Monitoring Stand

Structures

Command your Pals to work on various things inside a base. You can allow or prohibit individual kinds of work.

High Quality Monitoring Stand

High Quality Monitoring Stand

Structures

A refined monitoring station with improved materials and structure. In addition to being able to issue work orders, the system also lowers the SAN cost for Pals working at the base. Working conditions are slightly improved, making Pals less likely to become dissatisfied.

Pal Labor Research Lab

Pal Labor Research Lab

Structures

A facility for conducting research on the various tasks of Pals. By assigning tasks to Pals in this facility, research progresses, granting various benefits.

What the stand actually does

  • Open the stand UI and pick a Pal on the base.
  • Enable only the jobs you want that Pal to perform.
  • Fixed-assign a Pal to a workstation (Lab, crusher, assembly line) when auto-pathing keeps walking away.
  • If a Pal is sleeping, eating, or on a break, wait and assign again.

Pal Labor Research Lab (why research gets abandoned)

The Lab is not its own row on the work priority chart. Research uses the suitability of the active subject (Handiwork research needs Handiwork Pals, and so on). Those Pals still see every normal job of that type, so busy bases look like pals abandon research or research lowest priority.

  • At the Monitoring Stand, turn off every suitability except the one you are researching.
  • Fixed-assign the researcher to the Lab so Assigned Workstation keeps them there.
  • Match suitability level to the research tier. Greyed-out Pals lack the required level.
  • Or park a quiet research base with almost no competing stations.

Work task priority

Transport locks

  • General Transport sits near the bottom of the priority list.
  • Disable Handiwork, Mining, and other high jobs on dedicated haulers.
  • Also enable Allow Transport by Pals on crafting stations, or finished goods never leave the bench.
