Palworld Status Effects Cheat Sheet: Best Pals and Skills per Status

Quick answer

Only Poison. It can sit alongside one other status. Every other status replaces the one already on the target, so real teams are Poison plus one partner status.

One tab per status. What it does, which Pal applies it, which Skill Fruit to teach, and what it pairs with. Everything you need before a fight, on one screen.

This is the short version of the status effects guide. Pick a status tab, read the one-line effect, grab the applicator Pal and the Skill Fruit, and check what it combines with. Every percentage here matches the full guide, and every skill's power and cooldown come from the game's own skill list.

  • Only Poison stacks. Every other status replaces the one already on the target.
  • Amp partner skills add 50-65% damage against their status, rising with Condenser stars. They do not stack with a second copy.
  • Explode partner skills deal 40-60% of your Attack to nearby enemies when you hit a target carrying their status.
  • Player-apply partner skills only work while that Pal is in your party, so the seat is permanent.

Pick a status

Burn

Fire damage over time. Grass damage into a Burned target is reduced. Fire and Water Pals resist it, and dodge rolling shortens it.

Best Skill Fruit per status

The fastest applicator is usually the cheapest skill. A 2 second cooldown fires far more often than a 55 second nuke, so it keeps the status up between big hits. Teach one fast applicator, then add one heavy hitter of the same element.

How to pick a status in three steps

  • Step 1: pick Poison as your base. It is the only status that stacks, so it is never wasted.
  • Step 2: pick one partner status that matches your fight.
  • Blind for survival against hard hitters.
  • Burn or Soak for raw damage when you can commit to a long fight.
  • Freeze when you need a target to stop moving.
  • Step 3: fill the party with one applicator, one amp, and one explode or convert Pal for that partner status.

Common mistakes

  • Running Burn and Soak Pals together. The second status erases the first, and one amp seat goes idle.
  • Carrying two copies of an amp Pal. Condense the one you have toward 4 stars instead.
  • Hitting a Burned target with Grass or a Muddy target with Electric. Both are reduced.
  • Looking for a Blind Skill Fruit. None exists, so build Blind around Venusa or Frostallion Noct.

Quick answers

  • Which status stacks? Only Poison.
  • Best Burn Pal? Renjishi to apply, Jormuntide Ignis to amp.
  • Best Soak skill? Aqua Gun for its 4 second cooldown.
  • What does Soak do to Electric? Soaked targets take more Electric damage.
  • Which statuses stop a target acting? Freeze and Electrify.
  • Darkness and Stun? Darkness is a Dark skill tag. Stun is a rare interrupt, and Aegidron makes the party immune to it.
