Palworld Poison Team Starter: Your First Dual Status Party
Quick answer
Venusa, Prixter, Roujay, Bakemi, and Felbat. Venusa applies Blind through your attacks and Poison through her skills, Prixter and Roujay each add 50-65% damage against their status, and Bakemi cuts a Poisoned enemy's Attack by 40-80%.
You do not need Dandilord to run Poison. Venusa, Prixter, Roujay, and Bakemi are all wild catches, and together they already run the Poison plus Blind dual build.
Most endgame poison teams in Palworld are built around Dandilord, a World Tree guardian you cannot catch in the open world or breed from other Pals. That leaves a gap for everyone still working through the mid-game. This page fills it. Every Pal below spawns in the wild, every skill comes from a Pal's own learnset or a Skill Fruit you can farm, and the finished party already runs a real dual status build.
- Core rule: most statuses replace each other, but Poison can sit alongside one other status on the same target.
- Starter pairing: Poison plus Blind. Venusa applies Blind through your attacks and Poison through her own skills.
- Payoff: Prixter adds 50-65% damage against Poisoned enemies, Roujay adds 50-65% against Blinded ones, and Bakemi cuts a Poisoned enemy's Attack by 40-80%.
- Upgrade later: swap in Dandilord as the Poison source once you reach the World Tree.
Why Poison plus Blind is the right first build
The status effects guide covers ten statuses, but only one of them stacks. Land Soak on a Blinded target and Blind is gone. Land Poison on a Blinded target and both stay. That single exception is why every dual status team is Poison plus one partner status, never two non-Poison statuses together.
Blind is the easiest partner to reach early because Venusa does two jobs at once. Her partner skill, Snake's Sagacity, makes your own attacks inflict Blind while she is in the party. Her learnset covers the Poison side: Poison Fog at level 1, Poison Blast at level 7, Poison Shower at level 30, and her exclusive Poison Scatter at level 70. One Pal, both statuses. Every other dual pairing needs a separate Poison source, which is exactly the seat Dandilord fills in the endgame.
The starter party
VenusaPaldeck #178Snake's Sagacity
Blind applyPoison skillsCoreVenusa is the engine. Snake's Sagacity puts Blind on your hits, and she learns four Poison skills on her own. Keep her as the active Pal so her Poison skills keep firing.
PrixterPaldeck #141Phantom Venom
Poison ampCorePrixter's Phantom Venom raises player and Pal damage against Poisoned enemies by 50-65%. It does not stack, so condense one Prixter toward 4 stars instead of carrying two.
RoujayPaldeck #177Dark-Nester
Blind ampFlying mountRoujay's Dark-Nester adds 50-65% damage against Blinded enemies and doubles as your flying mount, so the seat never feels wasted between fights.
BakemiPaldeck #168Grinning Death
Attack downDefenseBakemi's Grinning Death cuts the Attack of any Poisoned enemy you hit by 40-80%. Against bosses this is the seat that keeps you alive while the damage ticks.
FelbatPaldeck #065Life Steal
FlexSustainFelbat is the flex seat. It learns Poison Blast at level 1 as a backup applicator, and Life Steal returns 5-9% of damage dealt as Health to you and Felbat.
Five seats. Venusa and Prixter are the non-negotiable core.
Where to catch each Pal
Open each habitat on the interactive map and check the day and night layers. Bakemi is far easier to find at night, when it shows up in eight zones instead of two.
- Prixter also appears as a Predator Pal. It is a tougher fight, but it drops a Predator Core, which you will want later for Remedies and Elixirs.
- Tarantriss is the backup if Venusa will not cooperate. It learns Poison Fog at level 1, Poison Blast at 7, and Poison Shower at 40, and it rides as a double-jump mount.
- Nyafia and Caprity Noct also learn Poison Fog at level 1, Poison Blast early, and Poison Shower at level 30. Either one works as a Poison skill seat.

Poison Blast is the workhorse. It has a 2 second cooldown and applies Poison on hit, so a Pal that fires it constantly keeps Poison on the target with almost no downtime. Poison Shower is the heavier hit at 160 power, but its fruit is rare.

- Poison Blast fruit: Skill Fruit trees and fishing in Astral Mountains, Desiccated Dunes, Mount Obsidian, Crescent Moon Shore, and Windswept Island, plus the Rayne Syndicate Test Drilling Rig chests.
- Poison Shower fruit: mostly the Ancient Relic Recycler at very low odds, plus fishing at Sunreach. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan.
- Venusa, Nyafia, Caprity Noct, and Tarantriss learn Poison Shower naturally, so you may never need the fruit.

Skill Fruit treesBuild order, step by step
- Catch Venusa first. Without her you have no Blind, and the build is just Poison.
- Catch Prixter next and condense it before anything else. The amp seat scales from 50% toward 65% with Condenser stars.
- Teach Poison Blast to whichever Pal you field most, even if it already has a Poison skill.
- Add Bakemi before boss fights. The Attack cut matters more than raw damage when you are under-leveled.
- Add Roujay last. It is the biggest damage bump, but only once Blind is landing reliably.
- Stack Attack foods and Attack accessories. Snake's Sagacity triggers on your hits, so more hits means more Blind.
Upgrading into the endgame dual status builds
Once you reach the World Tree, the build changes shape. Dandilord's Mist Stalwart, once activated, makes your attacks inflict Poison and grants the party immunity to Poison and World Tree toxic gas. With Dandilord as the Poison source, Venusa is no longer needed, and you can pick any partner status.

Common mistakes
- Adding a Burn or Soak skill to this team. Any non-Poison status overwrites Blind, and you lose Roujay's bonus.
- Carrying two Prixters. Phantom Venom does not stack, so the second copy is a dead seat.
- Benching Venusa to save a slot. She is both halves of the pairing at this stage.
- Expecting Dandilord's Poison without activating Mist Stalwart first. The partner skill does nothing until you trigger it.
Quick answers
- Best early Poison Pal: Venusa, because she covers Blind and Poison alone.
- Best Poison Skill Fruit: Poison Blast, for its 2 second cooldown.
- Best amp: Prixter, 50-65% more damage against Poisoned targets.
- Can you run Poison plus Burn early? Only once you have Renjishi, and you still need a Poison source that is not Venusa.
