How to Breed Jormuntide Ignis in Palworld: Combo, Parents, and Passives
Quick answer
Breed Jormuntide with Blazehowl. That special combo always gives Jormuntide Ignis. Once you own two of opposite genders, Jormuntide Ignis plus Jormuntide Ignis also works.
Jormuntide Ignis comes from exactly one special combo: Jormuntide plus Blazehowl. Here is where to get both parents, how to breed them if you cannot catch them, and which passives to aim for.
Jormuntide Ignis is a Dragon and Fire serpent with Kindling level 7, a rideable body, and one of the best Burn partner skills in the game. It is also a special-combo Pal. Two parents make it: Jormuntide and Blazehowl. It sits on the same-species list too, so after your first egg, two Jormuntide Ignis will breed more of their own kind. No other rank-average pairing is a reliable route, so this page focuses on the two pairings that work every time.
- Special combo: Jormuntide + Blazehowl = Jormuntide Ignis.
- Clone pair: Jormuntide Ignis + Jormuntide Ignis = Jormuntide Ignis.
- Wrong pairs: Blazehowl Noct does not work, and Jormuntide Ignis with a plain Jormuntide does not give you another Ignis.

The target and both combo parents, with live work levels.
Its active skills are all Fire and Dragon except one. It learns Ignis Blast at level 1, Dragon Cannon at 7, Flare Storm at 15, Ignis Breath at 22, Tri-Lightning at 30, Fire Ball at 40, and Dragon Meteor at 50. Ignis Breath and Fire Ball both apply Burn, which feeds its own partner skill.
Where to get each parent
- Blazehowl: six wild areas, day and night. Huge Scorching Eggs also hatch it, around 44% in grassland nests and 24-28% in volcano nests.
- Jormuntide: one Alpha on the map, plus Huge Dragon Eggs in grassland nests at about 15%.
- Jormuntide Ignis itself: three wild areas, one Predator Pal, and Huge Dragon Eggs on Feybreak at about 33%. If you are already on Feybreak, check those eggs before you commit a Cake.

Backup chains if a parent will not show up
Jormuntide is the usual bottleneck because it only lives as an Alpha. Breed it instead. Both pairs below land on Jormuntide by breeding rank, and every parent spawns in the wild.
- Jormuntide from Flaracle + Splatterina. Splatterina only appears at night.
- Jormuntide from Azurmane + Mycora. Both spawn day and night.
- Blazehowl from Nyafia + Incineram. Their ranks average to exactly Blazehowl's 1360.
- Blazehowl from Shroomer + Bulldosu, if Incineram is out of reach.
Splatterina only spawns at night. Switch the map to the night layer.

Nyafia habitatBreeding it, step by step
- Build a Breeding Farm. It unlocks at level 19.
- Place one Jormuntide and one Blazehowl of opposite genders in the farm. Jormuntide Ignis has a 50% gender ratio, so the child can be either.
- Stock Cake in the farm's chest. Every egg costs one.
- Hatch the egg in an Egg Incubator. Rare, large Pals take longer, so park it in your best incubator.
- Once you own a male and a female Jormuntide Ignis, switch to the clone pair and stop feeding the original parents.
Passive planning
Passives pass from both parents with a chance to roll new ones. Decide what the Ignis is for before you pick parents, because a Kindling worker and a combat mount want different sets.
- Kindling worker: Artisan (Work Speed +50%), Remarkable Craftsmanship (+75%), and Serious (+20%).
- Burn mount: Ferocious (Attack +20%) and Demon God (Attack +30%, Defense +5%).
- Load the passives onto the Blazehowl first. It is far easier to catch and breed in bulk than Jormuntide.
- Do not let Musclehead or Work Slave slip onto a worker. Musclehead cuts Work Speed by 50% and Work Slave cuts Attack by 30%.

Cake guideWhat to do with it once it hatches
- Furnace duty: Kindling 7 is one step behind Renjishi's 8, the highest Kindling level in the game, and Jormuntide Ignis has no other job to wander off to.
- Burn teams: pair it with Renjishi, whose Stage Combat puts Burn on your attacks, and Flaracle, who explodes Burned enemies.
- Condense it toward 4 stars. The Burn bonus climbs from 50% toward 65%, and a second copy in the party does nothing.
- Lava routes: the partner skill nullifies lava damage while it is in the party.
Common mistakes
- Using Blazehowl Noct. It is a different Pal and does not trigger the special combo.
- Breeding Jormuntide Ignis with a plain Jormuntide to get more. That pair makes something else.
- Chasing wild Jormuntide in open water. It has no normal habitat, only the Alpha and egg sources.
- Skipping the passive plan. Rerolling a rarity 9 Pal later costs far more Cake than planning the parents now.
