Palworld Sphere Modules: Which One Is Actually Best
Quick answer
Homing Module. It makes the sphere home in on Pals and gives the largest capture power increase, but it requires an Ancient Workbench at level 67 plus 50 Soralite Ingot, 3 Ai Core, 40 Ancient Civilization Parts, 50 Dark Fragment, and 5 Ancient Civilization Core.
There are six sphere modules and one of them costs five Ancient Civilization Cores. Homing is the strongest, Heavy Weight is the cheapest, and Slider is the one most players skip by mistake.
Palworld 1.0 has six sphere modules and every one of them increases capture power. Homing Module is the strongest and by far the most expensive, requiring 50 Soralite Ingot, 3 Ai Core, 40 Ancient Civilization Parts, 50 Dark Fragment, and 5 Ancient Civilization Core at an Ancient Workbench. Heavy Weight Module is the cheap entry option at 10 Paldium Fragment, 10 Ingot, and 20 Stone.
The modules do not just add a number. They change how the sphere flies, and that changes which module suits how you actually throw. A module that increases capture power but makes you miss is worse than a weaker one you can land.
All six modules, cheapest first
- Heavy Weight Module: heavier sphere, reduced range, increased capture power. 10 Paldium Fragment, 10 Ingot, 20 Stone.
- Curve Module: curved trajectory, easier to catch Pals off guard, increased capture power. 30 Paldium Fragment, 30 Ingot, 50 Stone, 2 Ancient Civilization Parts.
- Sniper Module: increased range and capture power. 50 Paldium Fragment, 50 Ingot, 30 Cement, 8 Ancient Civilization Parts.
- Slider Module: sharp-angled slider spin plus increased capture power. 100 Paldium Fragment, 30 Refined Ingot, 15 Carbon Fiber, 8 Corrosive Solvent, 10 Ancient Civilization Parts.
- Sniper Module II: significantly increased range and capture power. Not craftable, so treat it as reward or shop stock.
- Homing Module: the sphere homes in on Pals with a further capture power increase. Ancient Workbench only.

Heavy Weight Module
Sphere Modules
Equipping it makes the sphere heavier, reducing its range but increasing its capture power.

Curve Module
Sphere Modules
Equipping it causes the sphere to spin with a curved trajectory. It becomes easier to catch Pals off guard, and increases capture power.

Sniper Module
Sphere Modules
Equipping it increases the sphere's range, allowing it to sharply capture Pals and enhancing capture power.

Slider Module
Sphere Modules
Equipping it adds a slider spin to the sphere. The sphere curves at a sharp angle, making it easier to catch Pals off guard and increasing capture power.

Sniper Module Ii
Sphere Modules
Equipping it significantly increases the sphere's range, allowing it to sharply capture Pals and enhancing capture power.

Homing Module
Sphere Modules
Equipping it makes the sphere home in on Pals, further increasing capture power.
What to build at each stage
The cost curve here is steep enough that the right answer changes three times across a playthrough. Build the module you can afford now rather than saving for one you cannot.
- Early: Heavy Weight Module. Stone and Ingot only, and the range penalty barely matters when you are catching things at close quarters anyway.
- Mid: Sniper Module. Range is the practical upgrade once you start throwing at Alphas you do not want to stand next to.
- Late: Slider Module if you can hit with it, Sniper Module II if you find one. Both are large upgrades over the mid tier.
- Endgame: Homing Module, once the Ancient Workbench is online at level 67 and you have cores to spare.

Sphere tiersModules are one of four capture levers
Capture probability is not decided by the module alone. Four things move it, and stacking all four is how a rarity 20 Alpha becomes catchable rather than a sphere sink.
- Sphere tier: Ancient Sphere II is the top tier and costs 30 Paldium Fragment, 6 Paloxite Ingot, and 3 Mythical Wood.
- Sphere module: the subject of this guide, applied on top of the tier.
- Status effects: sleep and paralysis raise capture probability directly.
- Effigies: Lifmunk Effigies raise capture power account-wide, and the eight Lunaris Effigies raise sphere homing specifically.

- What is the best sphere module in Palworld?
- Homing Module. Core farm routes
- How many sphere modules are in Palworld?
- Six: Heavy Weight, Curve, Sniper, Slider, Sniper Module II, and Homing. All six increase capture power, and each changes the sphere's flight behaviour differently.
- Which sphere module should I craft first in Palworld?
- Heavy Weight Module. It costs only 10 Paldium Fragment, 10 Ingot, and 20 Stone, and its reduced range is barely a downside early when you are throwing at close quarters anyway.
- Do sphere modules stack with sphere tiers in Palworld?
- Yes. Sphere tier, sphere module, status effects, and effigy capture bonuses are four separate levers that all apply to the same throw. Stacking all four is what makes rarity 20 Alphas practical to catch. Sphere tiers
