Palworld Oil Rig Guide: Clears, Loot, and Farms

Three Rayne Syndicate Oil Rigs sit offshore. Crude Oil Extractors own steady oil income. This guide owns the three clears, chest loot, and how Rigs feed Lotus and Core loops. Approach under turret fire, clear the deck, loot, leave.

The three Rigs

• Rayne Syndicate Test Drilling Rig: around level 30. Learn the deck loop. Little or no anti-air lock. Strong early Crude Oil burst and Lotus (L) rolls.
• Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig: around level 55. Laser anti-air locks flying mounts. First serious AA platform. Lotus (S) and Large Pal Soul chests.
• Rayne Syndicate Platform Oil Rig: around level 60 in Feybreak waters. Laser AA plus rocket AA. Large chest starts the Attack Chopper. Best Lotus (L), Giant Pal Soul, and Core burst.

Clear tips

• Swim or water-mount in on AA platforms. Flying mounts get locked by laser (and rockets on the Platform).
• Climb from the waterline, kill turrets early, then clear patrol packs before opening chests.
• On the Platform: destroy rocket AA when you can (rockets stay down). Lasers can return.
• Open the Platform large chest only when the deck is stable and you have Multi Guided Missile Launcher ammo for the Attack Chopper.
• Bring Homeward Thundercloud. Dying offshore wastes the whole clear.

Multi Guided Missile Launcher

A multi-lock missile launcher that fires guided missiles capable of tracking enemies. Designed for overwhelming burst damage against high-value targets.

Missile Ammo

Ammo

Ammo for the Guided Missile Launcher and similar weapons. Can be crafted at Weapon Assembly Line II.

Homeward Thundercloud

Consumables

Transports you to the nearest base. Cannot be used in dungeons and other similar locations.

Crude Oil

Materials

Material that can be processed into various products. Obtained by installing a Crude Oil Extractor on an oil field.

Loot highlights

Crude Oil burst

• Test Drilling Rig: guaranteed Crude Oil bursts (tables include 50-150 and 5-15).
• Platform Oil Rig: guaranteed heavy Crude Oil (150-300) plus extra chance rolls.
• Mid Oil Rig: chance-based Crude Oil (5-20) on top of other chest loot.

Lotuses (player IV crafts)

• Lotus (S): mid Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig and Platform Large_01-style tables, about 4% per track.
• Lotus (L): Test Drilling Rig about 8% (1-2) and Platform about 10% (1-3) per track.
• All five colors (Power, Life, Stamina, Carrying, Speed) share those tables. Bank extras for Remedies and Elixirs.

Souls, Cores, manuals, schematics

• Large Pal Soul: about 28% on the mid Oil Rig.
• Giant Pal Soul: about 31% on the Platform Oil Rig.
• Ancient Civilization Core: strong rolls on Test Drilling (~55%, 1-5) and Platform (~44%, 1-5).
• Training Manual (L) / (Xl) appear often across all three Rigs. Feed them into your leveling loop.
• Schematic and ammo tables scale up toward the Platform large chest after the chopper.

Power Lotus (L)

Materials

Large red flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Might Elixir.

Life Lotus (L)

Materials

Large green flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Vital Elixir.

Giant Pal Soul

Materials

The soul left behind by a highly trained Pal. It can draw out hidden abilities if offered to a Statue of Power.

Ancient Civilization Core

Materials

Core from technology that was lost long ago. Nearly impossible to find on the Palpagos Islands, it contains a wealth of forgotten knowledge.

Common fails

• Underleveled clears on the mid or Platform Rig. Learn on Test Drilling first.
• Flying into AA and wiping before you touch a chest.
• Skipping Lotus chests because you only came for Crude Oil. Lotuses gate player IV Elixirs.
• Opening the Platform large chest without Missile Ammo.
• Treating Rigs as your only Crude Oil. Extractors still win for steady AFK oil.

Order to clear the three Rigs

• Test Drilling Rig first. It is the lowest level check, teaches the deck loop safely, and already pays a strong Crude Oil and Ancient Civilization Core burst.
• Mid Oil Rig next once you can handle laser anti-air. This is where Large Pal Soul chests and your first serious Lotus (S) rolls show up.
• Platform Oil Rig last. Rocket AA plus the Attack Chopper fight make it the hardest of the three, but it also pays the best Lotus (L), Giant Pal Soul, and Core burst of the set.

Gearing up before you go

Bring more Missile Ammo than you think you need if you are heading for the Platform's large chest. Running dry mid-fight against the Attack Chopper wastes the whole trip. A water mount beats a flying mount on any Rig with active anti-air, so swap your travel plan accordingly rather than getting locked out of the air mid-approach.

What to do with Rig loot once you are home

• Spend Lotuses on Remedies and Elixirs alongside your Predator Core stock, rather than letting them sit in storage.
• Bank Large and Giant Pal Souls for your Statue of Power spend order instead of spreading them thin across too many Pals at once.
• Feed extra Ancient Civilization Cores toward whatever late craft you are actually working on, whether that is Wing Pack or a shield line.
