Palworld Mushrooms Guide: Mysterious, Cavern, and Common

Palworld has three mushrooms players actually craft with. Ordinary Mushroom is food and early cooking. Cavern Mushroom fuels potions and Mushroom Cake. Mysterious Mushroom is the scarce one behind Mysterious Mushroom Juice, Shroomer Noct Saddle, and Growth Acceleration Bell.

Mushroom that grows prolifically in caves. Can be made into healing medicine.

A mushroom that can be eaten raw. They can be found anywhere on the island.

Mysterious Mushroom

Not for eating raw. Item text warns it makes you hungrier. No expedition or dungeon lottery row lists it. You farm Pals.

How to get Mysterious Mushrooms

Kill or capture the Pals below. Dualith Noct is the volume farm. Shroomer Noct is reliable. Mycora is a side source while you also pick up ordinary Mushrooms.

Cavern Mushroom

Item text: grows prolifically in caves and turns into healing medicine. This is the potion and Mushroom Cake mushroom.

How to get Cavern Mushrooms

• World: sweep natural cave tunnels and underground pockets while you travel.
• Ranch: assign Shroomer. Rampant Spores sometimes drops Cavern Mushroom (and ordinary Mushroom) on the Ranch.
• Expeditions: Crescent Moon Shore, Crescent Moon Shore (Hard), Desiccated Dunes, Mount Obsidian, and Windswept Island.
• Fast Travel landmarks with mushroom names (Shady Mushroom Cliffs, Sakurajima Mushroom Wetlands) are good places to start cave and habitat sweeps.
• Sealed Realm and dungeon chest tables in our loot index do not list Cavern Mushrooms. Treat caves, Ranch, and expeditions as the reliable paths.

A Frag Grenade with healing effects. It bursts on impact, restoring HP to allied Pals.

Mushroom Cake

Place it in the chest at a Breeding Farm to make Pals lay a particularly healthy egg. The talents of the resulting Pals will grow slightly more easily.

Risky Bait

Bait that lures in Pals. A modified version of Deluxe Bait designed for skilled anglers. The minigame bar is reduced in size, but the number of items obtained is greatly increased.

Alluring Bait

Consumables

Bait that lures in Pals. Improved to enlarge the size of the bar in the fishing minigame and increase the number of items obtained from fishing.

Mushroom (common)

Item text: found anywhere on the island. Cooking filler, Shroomer Saddle, and half of Mushroom Cake.

How to get Mushrooms

• World: pick wild mushrooms while you travel.
• Ranch: same Shroomer Rampant Spores loop as Cavern Mushrooms.
• Expeditions: Crescent Moon Shore (and Hard) plus Windswept Island.

Cooking this mushroom enhances its nutritional value. Curiously, it's also quite filling.

Mushroom Soup

Cream soup made of Mushrooms. Eating it allows you to stay fuller for slightly longer for a period of time.

Mushroom Quiche

Food

A dish made by baking a pastry crust filled with eggs, vegetables, mushrooms, and cream. It’s delicious even when cooled. Eating it will help you stay fuller for a while and make it harder for your SAN value to decrease for a period of time.

Spring Rolls

Food

A dish made by wrapping vegetables and mushrooms in a thin skin and deep-frying them. The crispy texture is delightful. Eating it will make it harder for your SAN value to decrease and increase your Attack by 10% for a period of time.

Marinated Mushrooms

A dish made by marinating Mushrooms in a marinade. Eating it improves Defense by +10% for a period of time.

• Mushroom Cake: 5 Mushrooms + 3 Cavern Mushrooms (plus flour, eggs, honey) for Breeding Farm eggs.

• Need potions and Mushroom Cake? Assign Shroomer to a Ranch, run cave tunnels, and queue Crescent Moon Shore expeditions.
• Need cooking filler? Pick wild Mushrooms, butcher Lovander and Tanzee on the road, and keep Shroomer grazing.
