Palworld Sunreach: Your First Week in the Sky Islands

Sunreach is the sky island region and the only source of Soralite in Palworld 1.0. The item text is unambiguous: a rare ore produced only in Sunreach. Soralite refines into Soralite Ingot at the Ancient Furnace, and Soralite Ingot is the foundation of high-grade equipment plus a required input for Paloxite Ingot. Your first week here is an ore logistics problem, not a combat problem.

That is the whole strategic point of the region. If you skip Sunreach you cannot make Paloxite Ingot, which means you cannot make top-tier gear, which means Hard Mode and Ultra Raids stay out of reach.

An ancient metal refined from ore that slumbers in Sunreach. A rare processed material, forming the foundation of high-grade equipment and structures. Can be refined at Ancient Furnace.

Paloxite Ingot

Needs Soralite

An indomitable alloy created by fusing Soralite and Paloxite. A highly rare material, crystallizing the technology of ancient civilization and the power of the World Tree. It is vital for crafting the highest-grade equipment and structures.

Day one: get up there and stay up there

• Bring a flier you trust. Sunreach is vertical and a mount that runs out of stamina mid gap is a death.
• Unlock fast travel points as you find them. Hauling ore down by air every time is the mistake that makes this region feel awful.
• Scout before you build. A base on the wrong island means every ore run starts with a flight.
• Pack heat and cold gear appropriate to the island band you are working, not the one you landed on.

Day two to four: the ore base

Sunreach rewards a dedicated mining base more than almost anywhere else, because the ore is unique to the region and the haul distance is punishing. Build small and functional rather than pretty.

• Mining Pals with high suitability, condensed if you can afford it. Mining is a work action so work speed passives apply.
• A Transport Pal at level 3 or better, because ore is heavy and carry capacity per trip is what removes trips.
• Chests placed close to the nodes and close to the furnace. Layout beats passives for hauling throughput.
• Beds, food, and a hot spring. A sanity crash on a remote base is invisible until production stops.
• Base defence, because raids do not skip your remote outpost.

Day five to seven: turn ore into gear

Soralite is useless as ore. The Ancient Furnace at level 66 is what turns it into Soralite Ingot, and the Ancient Workbench at level 67 is what turns ingots into equipment. If you are below those levels, Sunreach is a stockpiling trip rather than a crafting one, and that is fine.

• Soralite Ingot: refined at the Ancient Furnace, the base of high-grade equipment and structures.
• Paloxite Ingot: 1 Soralite, 2 Paloxite, 1 World Tree Holy Water. Sunreach supplies one third of this recipe.
• Homing Module: 50 Soralite Ingot among other things. This single craft can justify a whole week of ore runs.
• Ancient Sphere I: 30 Paldium Fragment, 2 Soralite Ingot, 10 Hardwood. The cheapest reason to have ingots on hand.

One story warning

The Sunreach main mission had a soft lock caused by clearing the barrier too early, which was fixed in v1.0.3. If you are playing on an older build or a server that has not updated, do the mission steps in order rather than skipping ahead to the barrier.
