Palworld Radiant Gems: How to Get Every Element
Quick answer
Radiant Gems form as World Tree energy accumulates inside a Pal's body, so they come from Pals in the World Tree region rather than from nodes or shops. Each gem is element-locked, so you farm Pals of the element whose gem you need.
Radiant Gems are element-locked, one per element, and they only come from Pals carrying World Tree energy. There is no universal gem and no shortcut across elements.
Radiant Gems are the element-specific Awakening material in Palworld 1.0. There are nine of them, one per element: Neutral, Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Ground, Dark, and Dragon. Each gem forms as World Tree energy accumulates inside a Pal's body, so gems come from Pals in the World Tree region rather than from mining nodes or shops.
The practical consequence is that you farm the element you need. A Dragon Radiant Gem will not awaken an Ice Pal, and stockpiling one element does nothing for another. Plan your awakening order before you start farming, not after.

Where the gems come from
The gem description is the mechanic: a gem formed as World Tree energy accumulates within a Pal's body, which when processed releases the hidden power of Pals of that element. That points at the Foot of the World Tree region and the Pals living in it. Your farm target is the element you need, in the region where World Tree energy is present.
- Work the World Tree region rather than the wider map. Energy exposure is what creates the gems.
- Match the Pal element to the gem you want. Hunting Dragon Pals for an Ice gem is wasted time.
- Keep World Tree Holy Water active. Without it the region's gathering nodes decay as you approach, which wrecks a farm loop.
- Bank gems by element in labelled chests. Nine near-identical icons in one box is a genuine sorting problem.

Holy Water after 1.0.3What gems are for
Awakening. Gems combine with World Tree Holy Water to produce the element awakening crystals, which raise a Pal's stat caps. This is the layer above condensing and Pal Souls: condensing and souls fill the bar, awakening raises the top of the bar. If you have not condensed a Pal yet, awakening is premature.
- Investment order that works: capture or breed, fix passives, condense, feed Pal Souls, then awaken, then top up with stat fruits.
- Awakening is expensive per Pal, so pick two or three Pals you actually field rather than spreading it.
- Element awakening crystals cost 10 World Tree Holy Water each alongside the gems, so Holy Water throughput caps your awakening rate.
- Awakened stat caps only matter if something is filling them. Souls and condenser stars are the fill.
