Palworld World Tree Holy Water After v1.0.3: Weight 0.1 and New Sources

Quick answer

0.1 per bottle, down from 1.0 before the patch. A full stack now costs almost nothing in carry weight, so there is no reason to ration it on a World Tree lap.

Holy Water used to cost you a tenth of your carry weight per bottle. v1.0.3 cut that to 0.1 and opened three new taps, which changes how you plan an entire World Tree session.

World Tree Holy Water is the consumable that keeps World Tree resources from vanishing as you approach them. Before v1.0.3 it weighed 1.0 per bottle, which meant a serious harvest kit competed with the ore you went there to mine. The patch cut the weight to 0.1, extended the buff duration, and added three new sources. The rule did not change. The cost of obeying it collapsed.

World Tree Holy Water

World Tree Holy Water

Weight 1.0 to 0.1

Sacred water brimming with the energy of the World Tree. It purifies all things and awakens latent powers. When consumed, World Tree resources will not vanish when approached for a period of time.

The bottle that runs every World Tree lap

What v1.0.3 changed

  • Weight dropped from 1.0 to 0.1. A stack of twenty now costs you 2 weight instead of 20.
  • Buff duration was extended, so the gather window between drinks is longer.
  • World Tree expeditions can now pay Holy Water as a reward.
  • World Tree fishing and the Large Fishing Pond can now pay Holy Water.
  • Yields went up from World Tree area Pals and from Teafant Spring.
  • A drink sound effect was added, and several aura and riding display bugs were fixed so the buff state matches what you see.

How the weight cut changes your lap

The old routine was to carry the minimum viable number of bottles and turn back when the buff dropped. That was never a strategy, it was a weight budget. With bottles at 0.1 you can carry the whole session's supply, which means the limiting factor becomes ore and wood capacity instead. Plan your return trips around what you are mining, not around what you are drinking.

  • Carry a full stack. There is no longer a reason to ration.
  • Drink before you approach a node cluster, not after you watch one vanish.
  • Bring a Transport-capable Pal or a mount with capacity, since the ore is now the bottleneck.
  • Set a chest at your usual Fast Travel anchor so you can dump and continue instead of ending the lap.

The new passive sources

Expeditions and fishing both run while you do something else, which turns Holy Water from an active farm into partial background income. That does not replace the spring circuit, since the springs are still the densest source per minute, but it does mean your stock trends upward between sessions rather than only during them.

  • World Tree expeditions: set them before you log off and collect Holy Water alongside your usual expedition returns.
  • World Tree fishing: fold a few casts into the lap when you pass water rather than making a dedicated trip.
  • Large Fishing Pond: base infrastructure that trickles Holy Water without you being present.
  • Springs, chests, and high-level World Tree Pal drops remain the active core of the farm.

What you are spending it on

Holy Water is not just a gathering buff, it is a crafting ingredient. Awakening crystals cost 10 Holy Water each on top of Radiant Gems, and the Paloxite Ingot line plus late recipes such as Nutrient Tonic and the Drone Launcher all pull from the same stock. That is exactly why the weight change matters so much: you are not carrying a buff, you are carrying a material.

Still true after the patch

  • Holy Water is not sold in shops. Every bottle is farmed.
  • Nodes still vanish without the buff up. The patch made stocking cheap, not the mechanic optional.
  • Deep World Tree zones still carry their own hazards independent of the buff.
  • The three Healing Springs still cooldown for 60 seconds each, so rotate rather than wait.
