Hexolite Quartz + Chromite: Feybreak Farm to Furnace

Hexolite Quartz is the rainbow crystal on Feybreak. Chromite is the late buried ore you find with a Metal Detector. Hexolite is the alloy: 1 Chromite + 1 Hexolite Quartz at a Gigantic Furnace (Technology around level 58). Older guides still list obsolete 5 Chromite / 12 Quartz / 20 Ore recipes. Plan Hexolite as a two-mat pipeline. Farm Quartz nodes on Feybreak, scan Chromite with the Metal Detector on the same trips, and smelt at base between expeditions. Most players bottleneck on Quartz first because crystal nodes are visible but spread across cliffs. Chromite hides until you unlock the detector.

Where to find Hexolite Quartz

• Feybreak crystal nodes only. Use the Hexolite Quartz map filter (rainbowCrystal).
• Plan a Feybreak circuit and empty nodes into a chest near your Gigantic Furnace.
• Late Feybreak expeditions and field loot also top up Quartz between node runs.

Where to find Chromite

• Unlock the Metal Detector at Technology level 58 (same tier as Gigantic Furnace).
• Scan late islands. PalSphere plots Chromite under the Chromite map filter.
• Feybreak expeditions and some Pal drops (for example Silvegis / Smokie lines) add Chromite between detector runs.

Smelt Hexolite

Queue Hexolite only after both input chests stay full for a full in-game day. One Chromite plus one Quartz per bar means shortages flip quickly if extractors and manual farming share the same hauler.

• Recipe: 1 Chromite + 1 Hexolite Quartz → 1 Hexolite.
• Station: Gigantic Furnace.
• Keep both mats in filtered chests so Kindling Pals never starve the queue.
• Pair the furnace row with power and kindling so smelting continues while you are on Feybreak.

What Hexolite is used for

Hexolite is the gate material for endgame armor, shields, energy weapons, and several mobility accessories. Craft armor pieces as soon as you can afford the bar cost, then weapons. Shields and heat-regulated Hexolite variants matter more once you farm oil rigs, the World Tree, and other burst-damage content.

• Advanced Shield and other late defensive crafts.
• Energy weapons and ammo: Plasma Cannon, Energy Shotgun, Laser Gatling Gun, Overheat Rifle, rocket and plasma cartridges.

Efficient farm loop

• Pin both map filters (rainbowCrystal and chromium) before you sail to Feybreak.
• Empty Quartz nodes into a chest near your Gigantic Furnace so kindling Pals keep smelting while you scan Chromite.
• Run Feybreak expeditions when you want passive top-ups between manual node clears.
• Stock Plasteel too. Several Hexolite recipes still list Plasteel as a secondary input.
