Palworld Large Pal Soul Farm: The Three Guaranteed Drops

Quick answer

Three species drop them at a 100 percent rate: Anubis, Frostallion Noct, and Necromus. Each drops exactly one Large Pal Soul, and the drop applies to both the Alpha and regular versions.

Three Pals drop a Large Pal Soul at a 100 percent rate: Anubis, Frostallion Noct, and Necromus. Everything else on the internet about Large Pal Soul farming is noise.

Large Pal Souls drop from exactly three species in Palworld 1.0, and all three drop them at a 100 percent rate: Anubis, Frostallion Noct, and Necromus. The drop applies to both the Alpha versions and the regular ones, one soul per kill, capture, or butcher. That is the complete list.

Compare that to the tiers below and the picture gets clearer. Medium Pal Soul comes from Helzephyr at a 3 percent rate. Small Pal Soul comes from six Dark species, topping out at Nox at 40 percent and Maraith at 15 percent. Large is the only tier with guaranteed drops, which makes it the easiest tier to farm despite being higher.

The three Large Pal Soul sources

  • Anubis: Earth element, combi rank 480, rarity 10. Available as both an Alpha and a regular spawn, which makes it the most repeatable of the three.
  • Frostallion Noct: Dark element, combi rank 110, rarity 20. A legendary, so each kill is a real fight.
  • Necromus: Dark element, combi rank 190, rarity 20. Also legendary, and paired with Paladius in the world.
  • All three drop 1 Large Pal Soul at 100 percent, with a minimum and maximum of one.

Anubis is the practical farm

Frostallion Noct and Necromus are rarity 20 legendaries. Anubis is rarity 10 and appears as a normal wild spawn as well as an Alpha, which means you can farm it repeatedly without a full raid loadout. If you want Large Pal Souls in volume, Anubis is the answer and the other two are opportunistic.

  • Anubis is Earth element, so Water damage is the clean counter.
  • Capture rather than kill where you can. A captured Anubis still yields the soul on butcher and gives you a condenser copy first.
  • The Alpha respawns, so plan a lap that includes it alongside other Alpha pins.
  • Meat Cleaver butchering is how you convert spare captures into souls without another fight.

What the souls are for

Pal Souls are offered at the Statue of Power, which unlocks at level 9 for two technology points. They raise four separate stat tracks by up to plus 60 percent each. That is the largest single multiplier available to a Pal outside Awakening, which is why soul farming is a mandatory endgame loop rather than a nice extra.

  • Higher soul tiers contribute more per offering, so Large and Giant Souls are worth saving for your finished Pals.
  • Souls stack with condenser stars, Awakening, and stat fruits. None of these compete with each other.
  • Investment order: breed or capture, fix passives, condense, feed souls, awaken, then top up with fruits.
  • Do not spread souls across a wide roster. Two or three finished Pals beat ten half-built ones in every raid.
