Palworld High Quality Cloth and Venom Gland Farm: The Ranch That Pays for Cosmetics
Quick answer
Craft it from 10 Wool and 1 Leather at a High Quality Workbench or better, or skip the recipe entirely by putting Sibelyx on a ranch, where it produces High Quality Cloth directly.
Two materials, one ranch. Set this up once and the Depresso quest, high tier armor, and Poison Arrows all fund themselves.
High Quality Cloth and Venom Gland show up in the same places: high tier armor recipes, Poison Arrows, and the Depresso Suit quest that wants 20 and 100 of them respectively. Both are ranch materials, which means the correct answer is never to go hunting. Build the ranch once and both problems solve themselves.

High Quality Cloth
Materials
High Quality Cloth woven from a large amount of Wool. Required to create high quality armor. Can be crafted at High-Quality Workbench.

Venom Gland
Materials
Material obtainable from poisonous Pals. Can be used to make Poison Arrow and more.

Wool
Materials
Material sheared from sheep Pals. A necessity for creating bedding, Cloth and more.
High Quality Cloth: two routes
Route one, craft it from Wool
Each High Quality Cloth takes 10 Wool and 1 Leather. That is the whole recipe, and it can be crafted at the High Quality Workbench, Advanced Workshop, Production Assembly Line, Production Assembly Line II, or Ancient Workbench. Wool is one of the easiest ranch outputs in the game, so this route scales as far as you want it to.
- Lamball on a ranch sometimes drops Wool, and it is available from the first hour of the game.
- Melpaca is the mid-game upgrade and also rides.
- Woolipop drops Wool and buffs Neutral Pal Attack while in your party.
- Run three or four wool Pals rather than one. Ranch drops are chance-based per Pal, so bodies beat quality.
Route two, skip Wool entirely
Sibelyx makes High Quality Cloth directly when assigned to a ranch. No Wool, no Leather, no bench. It is the single best cloth Pal in the game and it is worth going out of your way for. Sibelyx Primo does the same job and buffs Neutral Pal Defence while it is in your party.
Sibelyx also drops High Quality Cloth on defeat, and the Alpha version does too, so a hunting trip is a fine way to bootstrap your first few while the ranch spins up.
Venom Gland: ranch it, do not hunt it
Venom Glands come from poisonous Pals, and the drop counts per kill are small enough that a target like 100 turns into an afternoon of tedium. Two ranch Pals fix this permanently.
- Depresso sometimes drops Venom Gland on a ranch. Its partner skill also gives it a huge Movement and Work Speed burst when activated, so it is not a dead slot elsewhere.
- Caprity Noct drops Venom Gland from its back on a ranch, and while it is in your party it restores Hunger to whichever Pal is lowest every five minutes.
- Both are Dark element and easy to breed, so scaling the ranch is a breeding project rather than a hunting one.
If you insist on hunting
Some fights pay well enough to be worth a detour, especially when you are also farming those Pals for other reasons. These are the per-kill rates worth knowing.
- Menasting Alpha: 5 to 10 Venom Glands, the best single-kill rate available.
- Killamari Alpha: 2 to 4.
- Helzephyr Alpha: 1 to 3.
- Depresso Alpha: 2 to 3.
- Cawgnito Alpha: 2.

Alpha Pal mapRanch layout that actually produces
Ranch output is the most commonly broken system on player bases, and it is nearly always the same three causes.
- Ranch Pals must have Farming work suitability and must actually be assigned to the ranch. A Pal standing near it does nothing.
- Drops land on the ground and need a Transport Pal to move them into a chest. Without transport, your ranch is a pile of loose Wool.
- Keep food and beds close. A Pal with low sanity produces less, and ranch Pals are usually the ones players forget to feed.
- One ranch per material type keeps your chests sorted. Mixing Wool and Venom Gland in one output chest is how crafting queues stall.

- High tier armor recipes, which is where most of your cloth goes long term.
