Palworld Xenolord Ultra Raid: Slabs, Counters, and Team

Xenolord is a summoned raid boss with Dark and Dragon dual typing. The Xenolord Slab summons an exceptionally powerful level 65 Xenolord, and the Xenolord (Ultra) Slab summons a version the game does not assign a level to at all. Because it is both Dark and Dragon, the reflexive Dragon counter that works on Bellanoir Libero is a bad idea here.

Ice is the practical answer. It covers the Dragon half of the typing, and unlike a Dragon Pal an Ice Pal is not feeding a resisted element into a boss that also punishes you with Dragon damage of its own.

Dual typing changes the counter maths

A single-element boss has one clean answer. A dual-element boss has two partial answers and more resistances. Xenolord resists everything Dark resists and everything Dragon resists, and it can hit you with both, so the question stops being which element is strongest and becomes which element keeps you alive while you deal damage.

• Ice damage: covers the Dragon half and is not punished hard by Dark attacks. This is the default pick.
• Dragon damage: hits the Dark half, but Xenolord's own Dragon moveset shreds your Dragon Pal in return.
• Grass, Fire, and the rest: Xenolord resists too much for these to compete.
• Player weapons matter more here than in single-element raids, because your Pal is doing less of the total damage.

Summoning it

• Build a Summoning Altar at level 33 for three ancient technology points.
• Collect the full Slab Fragment set, then combine into a Slab. Partial sets do nothing.
• Start with the standard level 65 Slab. The Ultra tier is a different content bracket, not a slightly harder version.
• Summon at your own base so respawns, chests, and turret support are on your side.

The prep that actually decides this

Xenolord sits at combi rank 400 and rarity 8, which is lower than the rarity 20 legendaries, but the summoned raid version scales far beyond its species stat block. Ultra Raids check whether you finished a Pal across all six upgrade layers, and no element choice compensates for a half-built carry.

• IVs and passives set the ceiling. Breed or implant before you invest materials.
• Condenser stars give a flat percentage across Health, Attack, and Defense.
• Pal Souls at the Statue of Power give up to plus 60 percent across four tracks.
• Awakening with Radiant Gems raises the cap those layers fill.
• Gear and food are the last two layers, and a defence meal usually beats an attack meal on Ultra tier.
