Treasure maps drop from exploration and enemy loot. Each map points you toward a dig site. Field chests and sealed-realm / dungeon chests are related habits with different pools; check the source before grinding a spot.
Using a treasure map
- Open the map item and note the landmark sketch or region hint.
- Travel to matching terrain and look for disturbed ground or the dig prompt.
- Bring a mount; many dig sites are far from towers.
- Clear nearby enemies before digging so combat does not cancel the interaction.
