Best Palworld Skill Fruits by Element (1.0 Picks)

Quick answer

Holy Burst is a strong default pick since Neutral coverage helps against a wide range of targets and its DPS is among the highest on this list. Still swap to a type-matched fruit when you know the fight ahead.

One Skill Fruit per element that earns the slot. Power, cooldown, and DPS in one list. Type match still wins fights.

These are the Skill Fruits we actually teach when a slot is free. Numbers are power and cooldown from live PalSphere skill data. DPS here is power divided by cooldown. It ignores cast time, hit count, and STAB. Use it to compare fruits, then still type-match the fight.

Read the ranking this way

  • Type match still matters. A weaker on-type fruit often beats a stronger off-type fruit.
  • High DPS fruits (Holy Burst, Diamond Rain, Hydro Slicer, Flame Funnel, Beam Slicer) win short windows.
  • High power fruits (Dark Whisp, Rockburst) win when you want a big hit and can live with a longer cooldown.
  • Fruit label and skill element are not always the same word on the card. Beam Slicer is a Dragon Skill Fruit. Rockburst is a Ground Skill Fruit. Diamond Rain is an Ice Skill Fruit.

Why each pick

  • Dark Whisp: top Dark fruit power (160). Long 45s cooldown, so it is a nuke, not a spam button.
  • Hydro Slicer: 80 power every 4s. Clean Water DPS for most Water seats.
  • Beam Slicer: Dragon fruit with a fast beam plus delayed blast. Great Dragon slot filler.
  • Holy Burst: Neutral fruit with 50 / 2s. Highest DPS on this list for general slots.
  • Rockburst: Ground fruit, 120 / 8s. Big stone hit when you want Ground damage now.
  • Lightning Streak: Electric fruit with solid 75 power. Cooldown is longer, so plan the cast.
  • Flame Funnel: Fire twin to Hydro Slicer at 80 / 4s. Default Fire teach.
  • Diamond Rain: Ice fruit raining hits at 50 / 2s. Matches Holy Burst for raw DPS.
  • Seed Mine: Grass fruit with reliable 65 power. Not the highest DPS, but the Grass fruit we trust.

Teaching skills without wasting fruit

Skill Fruits are one-time consumables, and a Pal only has so many active skill slots. Before you feed a fruit, check what that Pal already knows and whether the new skill actually beats an existing one for the fights you care about. Swapping out a weaker off-type skill for a strong on-type fruit is almost always worth it. Replacing a skill that already covers your main use case just to try something shiny usually is not.

When a lower-power fruit is still the right pick

  • Type coverage beats raw DPS. A weaker on-type fruit that actually hits the boss's weakness will outperform a stronger off-type fruit almost every time.
  • Cooldown matters for sustained fights. A fruit with a short cooldown keeps pressure on through a long multi-phase boss even if its single-hit power looks lower on paper.
  • Cast time and hit count are not reflected in the simple power-over-cooldown DPS number here. Test a fruit in an actual fight before assuming the math translates directly.

Where to find these fruits

Skill Fruit trees are fixed world orchards, not shop stock. Route them into your regular Fast Travel loops instead of making a dedicated trip for every fruit on this list.

Common questions

Short answers for searches that should land here, with links to the item, map pin, or related guide when you need more detail.

What is the best Skill Fruit for a general-purpose Pal?
Holy Burst is a strong default pick since Neutral coverage helps against a wide range of targets and its DPS is among the highest on this list. Still swap to a type-matched fruit when you know the fight ahead.
Where do Skill Fruits come from in Palworld?
Skill Fruit trees are fixed world orchards you harvest directly. There is a second loot layer, Skill Fruit Chests, that adds boxed fruit on related routes. Skill Fruit Trees farm guide
Does a higher power Skill Fruit always mean more damage?
Not necessarily. Power divided by cooldown gives a rough DPS comparison, but it ignores cast time, hit count, and same-type attack bonus. A type match often beats a raw power advantage in an actual fight.
