Palworld 1.0 Pal Effigies: All 13 Types, Buffs, and Map Locations

Lifmunk Effigies are no longer the whole story. Version 1.0 splits collectibles into 13 Pal Effigy tracks, each with its own permanent player buff.

In Early Access you mostly chased Lifmunk Effigies for Capture Power. Palworld 1.0 reworks that system into Pal Effigies: thirteen different collectibles, each offered at a Statue of Power for a permanent player upgrade. Lifmunk Effigies you already owned carry over. New types cover hunger, swim, climb, glider, jump, stamina, status resist, food decay, sphere homing, EXP, rainbow passives, and movement speed.

This guide uses live PalSphere map markers plus the game's relic rank tables. Counts below are what our interactive map currently plots from UE4SS actor dumps (with PSP gap-fill where needed).

How Pal Effigies work in 1.0

  • Find a Pal Effigy in the world (or earn Mimog Effigies from capturing Pals).
  • Offer it at a Statue of Power (base-built or inside Abandoned Churches).
  • Each offering raises that track's rank. Ranks stack permanently on the player.
  • Statue of Power Pal Souls (HP, Attack, Defence, Work Speed) are a separate system. Effigies do not spend souls.
  • Old Lifmunk progress is kept. You do not start Capture Power from zero if you already turned Lifmunks in during Early Access.

Plot every world-placed Pal Effigy on the interactive map (Effigy filters pre-enabled).

How many are there?

  • 13 Pal Effigy item types in data (Relic through Relic_12).
  • 12 types have world pickups. PalSphere currently plots 432 world markers across those twelve.
  • Mimog Effigy is not a world pickup. Item text says it appears when you capture many Pals, and its upgrade track needs 287 offerings to max.
  • Common tracks need 20 offerings to hit max rank. Lifmunk needs 100. The three rare tracks (Lunaris, Relaxaurus, Yakumo) need 4 each.
  • Our map plots more rare markers than the rank tables require (8 each of Lunaris, Relaxaurus, and Yakumo). You only need 4 offerings per rare track to max the buff.

Every Effigy type and what it buffs

Max values come from the relic rank tables (cumulative offerings and effect rates). Map counts are live PalSphere POIs.

  • Lifmunk Effigy (Capture Power): 157 map markers. 100 offerings / 15 ranks to max. Raises Capture Power for Pal Sphere throws.
  • Lamball Effigy (Hunger Reduction): 31 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 50% slower hunger drain.
  • Pengullet Effigy (Swim Speed): 32 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 100% swim speed.
  • Munchill Effigy (Food Decay Reduction): 33 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 50% slower food spoilage in inventory.
  • Rooby Effigy (Jump Power): 32 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 50% jump power.
  • Herbil Effigy (Glider Speed): 30 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 30% glider speed.
  • Tanzee Effigy (Climb Speed): 30 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 100% climb speed.
  • Depresso Effigy (Status Ailment Resist): 30 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 50% status ailment resistance.
  • Cattiva Effigy (Stamina Reduction): 33 markers. 20 offerings. Up to 50% stamina drain reduction.
  • Lunaris Effigy (Sphere Homing): 8 markers. 4 offerings. Up to 100% sphere homing (Pal Spheres track targets harder).
  • Relaxaurus Effigy (EXP Bonus): 8 markers. 4 offerings. Up to 50% bonus EXP.
  • Yakumo Effigy (Rainbow Passive Rate): 8 markers. 4 offerings. Up to +4% Rainbow Fortune (better odds of strong wild passives).
  • Mimog Effigy (Move Speed): no world markers. Earned from captures. 287 offerings / 92 ranks. Up to 50% move speed.

What changed in 1.0 (and what to watch for)

  • Name change: Lifmunk Effigies became the broader Pal Effigy system, with many Pal-themed variants.
  • Pickup animation: picking one up plays a short effect (skipped while mounted).
  • Mimog Effigy is the odd one out: capture-gated movement speed, not a world statue hunt.
  • Yakumo community tip: some players report the “collect all Yakumo Effigies” achievement wants all four in inventory before you offer any. Hold the set, then turn them in together if you care about that unlock.
  • Common tracks often have more world markers than the 20 offerings needed to max. Extra pickups are still worth grabbing for alts, multiplayer worlds, or future patch changes.
  • Journals (map “Notes”) sit in the same filter section on PalSphere but are story collectibles, not Effigies. Do not confuse them with Relic items.

Practical priority order

  • Early: Lifmunk (Capture Power) while you are still filling the Paldeck.
  • Exploration: Tanzee climb, Herbil glider, Pengullet swim, and Rooby jump make traversal safer and faster.
  • Comfort: Lamball hunger, Cattiva stamina, Munchill food decay, and Depresso status resist.
  • Late: Lunaris sphere homing, Relaxaurus EXP, and Yakumo rainbow passives. These are short tracks (4 each) but sparse on the map.
  • Long haul: Mimog move speed scales with capture volume. Treat it as a Paldex completion bonus, not a day-one detour.
