The Hidden Stack Method for Multiplying Mining & Production Lines

Base space is tight and the boundary line fills up fast, but you can build vertically to double or triple your production density.

The base boundary is a fixed footprint, but it is not a fixed volume. By building upward (foundations, platforms and benches stacked into tiers) you can pack several production stations into the same square meterage the game measures for the boundary.

How the vertical trick works

Lay a floor of foundations, place your first tier of mining sites or plantations, then build a platform directly above and repeat. Because the boundary check is horizontal, each stacked layer effectively multiplies your usable production area without spending additional boundary space.

Pathing boundary logic

The key constraint is worker pathing. Pals can service high stations from ground level as long as the placement logic keeps the work node reachable, so keep vertical gaps tight and avoid sealing a station behind geometry the pathfinder rejects. Test each layer with a worker assigned before committing the whole stack.
